WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD- The Washington County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a stolen guitar that was possibly sold in a local pawn shop.

Officers say someone broken into a home in the Clear Spring area on December 31, 2012 and stole multiple items, including a Fender Squire Strat Guitar.

The victim of the burglary, a Marine, is currently deployed in Afghanistan.

Officers say a matching description of the stolen guitar was sold at Washington Street Pawn Brokers. The business says they sold the guitar on January 11, 2013 to an unknown person.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says they're currently looking for the person who bought the guitar to conform if it's the same guitar what was taken during the burglary.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Jared Barnhart at (240)-313-2183.
