WINTER STORM WATCH for Allegany, Grant, Mineral Hampshire, Hardy and Shenandoah Counties from Sunday night into Monday night.



TONIGHT: Cloudy, damp and chilly with lows in the low to mid 30s.

SUNDAY: Saint Patrick's Day will be cloudy and chilly with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. An afternoon and evening rain or snow shower is possible.

MONDAY: A wave of low pressure approaches with snow that changes over to sleet and eventually rain as temperatures rise into the mid 30s. Some accumulation is possible in the valleys, but the best chance for significant snow will be in the higher elevations, especially above 1500 feet. 6" of snow is possible to the west in the Potomac Highlands and Alleghenies where a Winter Storm Watch is in effect.

TUESDAY: The storm exits leaving us with partly sunny skies and windy conditions. It will be chilly with highs in the mid 40s.

WEDNESDAY: Spring arrives at 7:02am, but it won't feel like spring with a gusty wind and highs in the low 40s.

THURSDAY: A mix of sun and clouds with unseasonably chilly temperatures. High: 38.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and still chilly. High: Low 40s.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and still below average with a high of 46.
