The workers and volunteers at the Cumberland Valley Relief Center are undertaking a 45,000 pound canned turkey project to help feed the needy worldwide.
Volunteers cut and canned the turkey, which will be shipped to feed the less fortunate, who are affected by their countries' political and civil instability. Some of the countries include North Korea, Syria and Iraq.
"We are very excited to have people from all over the Cumberland Valley come and help us with this project," says Diane Brockman, of Cumberland Valley Relief Center. "It's nice to see people to think beyond themselves, seeing how they can help other people in the world."
The project is going on until this Friday. The canned meat products are expected to be shipped out to more than 10 countries.
