FREDERICK, MD- The annual two day Relay For Life Radiothon kicked off Thursday in Frederick, Maryland.

The American Cancer Society in Frederick will be hosting the two day event with the help of KEY 101 and 106.9 The Eagle from the Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Organizers say each year they manage to out do the amount they raised the year before. They say this year they are hoping to raise more than $35,000.

All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society, which will support Frederick Memorial cancer patients.

"The money we raise really is, is just so important," says Laurie Frey, Community Manager. "We like to say that fundraising isn't all we do, but all we do depends on the funds we raise and that's so true."

The American Cancer Association is also holding an online auction that you can participate in at www.Playhardgivemore.com/radiothon.
