Man Faces 68 Burglary Charges in Multiple Vehicle and Residential Break-Ins

Police say Cole Michael McCormick, 20, of Mt. Savage is charged with breaking into six different homes, and six different vehicles in the Frostburg and Mt. Savage area.
Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit executed a search and seizure warrant on McCormick's home and found a large amount of stolen property.
McCormick is charged with 18 counts of burglary, 16 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, 13 counts of theft, 13 counts of conspiracy to commit theft, one count of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and other related charges.
McCormick is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center pending an appearance in Circuit Court.
Investigators are still attempting to identify the victims in these crimes and return their property to them. Among the items recovered are numerous GPS units, cell phones, electronic equipment, jewelry, car stereo parts, cameras, past major sporting event ticket stubs and other items.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have been a victim of theft recently, even if they have not reported the incident to the police, to contact C3I at (301)-777-0326, to view the property, identify it and claim it.
