According to the Suns, the change comes after Bill Farley, who had been the general manager, resigned.
Farley explained in an emailed press release, he's stepping down from the position after three years in order to pursue new opportunities at the end of February.
Under his new duties, Bruchey will be responsible for overseeing the daily team and business operations for the upcoming season.
Majority Owner, Bruce Quinn, said they're fortunate to have experienced senior staff at the Suns. The Suns will also promote Josh Mastin and Lori Kendall to interim assistant general manager status. Both have been with the club for the last two seasons.
Mastin will assist with operational management and player relations while Kendall will handle internal organizational management duties for the Hagerstown Suns.
Bruchey, Mastin, and Kendall will start their new positions effective March 1st.
