WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY from noon-1am for Allegany, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral and Grant Counties for 1"-3" of a heavy wet snow, especially in the higher elevations. Some isolated 4" amounts are possible.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY from 10am - 1am Thursday for Garrett County for 3"-6" of snow.


TODAY: Any early sunshine quickly fades away behind clouds today. Light rain arrives around lunch time with some wet snow in the Potomac Highlands and Western Maryland. 1"-3" is expected by this evening in Garrett, Western Grant and Mineral Counties. Highs will be in the low to mid 40s.
TONIGHT: Wet snow ends by midnight. Expect a slushy coating to possibly 1" over much of the region. Garrett, Western Allegany, Grant and Mineral counties can expect 3"-6" of a heavy wet snow ending before midnight. There will be some icy spots on the roads with lows in the upper 20s to near 30.
THURSDAY: Partly cloudy on Valentine's Day with temperatures a bit above average. High: Upper 40s to low 50s.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny with a chance of some late afternoon showers. Mountain snow possible. Highs in the low 50s.
SATURDAY: Some upper level energy brings clouds and the chance for flurries with snow showers in the mountains. High: 38.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny and colder. Colder with highs in the low 30s.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and milder with a high around 42.
TUESDAY: A cold front approaches with a chance of rain. Highs in the low 40s.
