Maryland Lottery Officials say a Middletown man has come forward and claimed the $1-million second tier Powerball ticket.
The lucky ticket was sold in Middletown at the Fountain Service Center on Old National Pike. A second tier prize is given to a ticket that matches all five numbers, but the Powerball.
The anonymous winner says he plans to pay off his house and invest the rest.
"I have been manager for about eight years and we have sold lottery since I have been manager, probably longer than that, this is the first time that we have had a big winner," says store manager, Debbie Divel.
No one hit the actual Jackpot on Saturday making Wednesday's night's drawing worth $50-million.
