WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY until 10am for much of the region.
WINTER WEATHER ADIVSORY until 7am for Franklin, Fulton and Bedford Counties in PA for up to a coating to an inch of snow overnight Friday.
TODAY: The nor'easter begins developing off the coast today bringing a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain this morning. The best chance of seeing this mix is east of Interstate 81. Frederick and Loudoun Counties could see up to 1" of snow before the changeover. The mix changes over to a few rain showers by 10am as warmer air moves in. A few afternoon showers are possible. Highs will be in the low 40s.
TONIGHT: Behind the rapidly developing nor'easter, it's windy and cold with a few flurries. 3-5" is expected in Western Grant and Mineral, Allegany and also for Garrett County.
SATURDAY: A few morning clouds, otherwise mostly sunny, cold and gusty behind the nor'easter. High: Mid 30s. Wind chills will be in the 20s.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with highs in the low 40s.
MONDAY: It's mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Temperatures may be cold enough to start in the morning for some freezing rain. Highs will be in the upper 40s to near 50 so any morning freezing rain changes over to rain by the afternoon.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40s.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny with a high of 45.
THURSDAY: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 40s.
