Community Foundation Awards Thousands in Grants

HAGERSTOWN, MD - A total of $105,651 was donated to organizations in Washington County.
The Community Foundation of Washington County awarded 24 groups in total.
Nearly 50 groups applied for the grants, and the Foundation says it was a tough decision process.
They made their choice by evaluating how much the community can benefit from each program.
The Barbara Ingram Summer Arts Academy's "Junior Camp" and Communidad Latina de Washington County's "Diversity Project," are a couple of the award winners.
The ARC of Washington County's "Auto Detailing Shop" program received the most funding with $12,500.
