Winter Storm Warning for Western Maryland and Potomac Highlands

HAGERSTOWN, MD - A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Western areas this afternoon into Tuesday morning.

WINTER STORM WARNING for Garrett County from 2pm Monday to 10am Tuesday for 6"-10" of snow.

WINTER STORM WARNING for Western Allegany, Grant and Mineral Counties from 2pm Monday to 6am Tuesday for 4"-8" of snow.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Eastern Allegany, Grant, Mineral, Hampshire, Hardy and Morgan Counties until 6am Tuesday.




 


Snow will develop by 2pm in Western areas and will spread east by the evening over the rest of the region.

6"-10" is expected in the upslope snow areas in Western Allegany, Grant, Mineral and Garrett Counties. The snow will taper off by 2am over much of the region, but will continue to the west through Tuesday morning.

A coating to 2" is expected to fall by 2am Tuesday morning over much of the region.
