Federal Judge Rejects WV Redistricting Lawsuit

On Friday, a federal judge dismissed the lawsuit brought by the Jefferson County Commission and lawyer Thornton Cooper.
In September 2013, the United States Supreme Court rejected arguments that the redistricting violated the Constitution.
The map was redrawn in 2011 following the 2010 Census.
Opponents felt that some areas of the state were not divided up correctly, diluting their voting power.
