50-year-old Neil LaPine was sentenced to 17 years in prison after he barricaded himself, threatened to harm himself, and shot at police officers.
Police say it happened at the north end of town at Cortland Manor Apartments right behind the Weis Supermarket.
Police say Lapine suffered from depression and never intended to hurt anyone.
Lapine now faces time in prison, but his years there have been significantly reduced.
