Winter Weather Advisory Issued; Snow Expected Overnight Wednesday

By: WHAG Weather Team
Updated: January 23, 2013
HAGERSTOWN, MD - If the frigid temperatures have not been enough, some snow is about to be thrown into the mix by the time we hit Thursday Morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Western Grant County, WV, Frederick County, MD and Loudoun County, VA until 9:00 AM Thursday Morning.

A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 10:00 AM Thursday Morning for Western Allegany, Western Grant and Western Mineral Counties.

Snow will develop across the region tonight and will last into Thursday Morning.  A dusting to up to an inch of snow is possible during that time, and that will be just enough to potentially make things a little slick on Thursday Morning heading to work or school.

Clouds will give way to sunshine on Thursday Afternoon, then increase Thursday Night into Friday with more snow expected during the day on Friday. We're waiting to see what the forecast models do in the next 12-18 hours, and determine what kind of snow we will see on Friday, but a light accumulation looks to be possible.

Stay with the WHAG Weather team with winter and severe weather hits the area, we'll keep you informed as these events roll though on their social media platforms as well as Your4State.com.
