Out of 3,000 bands that applied to perform in the parade, only 24 were selected, including one high school band from the four-state area.
The Frankfort High School Falcon Band, our of Short Gap, W. Va., participated in the parade. They played "God Bless America," for President Obama and the First Lady.
All 70 members have been there since Sunday. They've been practicing so hard ever since Christmas, and it paid off for them today as they played a big part in history.
