WV Robber Arrested After Months on the Loose

By: Ciara Brown
Updated: January 10, 2013
BRUNSWICK, MD - Brunswick Police in Maryland arrested a West Virginia man Wednesday after he robbed a woman in front of a local grocery store months ago.

Police say Adrian Jorge Lico, 34, was linked to a April 29, 2012 theft in front of a Souder Road grocery store.

Police say Lico is accused of getting inside the passenger side of a woman's vehicle and grabbing her purse from her seat while she was inside.

Frederick County court officials say the purse and its contents were valued at $1,300.

Police say they tracked down Lico in Bakerton, W. Va., based on the license plate number that was seen by witnesses who saw the thief fleeing the area.

Photos of Lico were shown to the woman whose purse was stolen, and police say she confirmed his identity.

Lico was released from the Frederick County Adult Detention Center Wednesday after posting $10,000 bail.
