VA Abortion Clinics Could Face Stricter Standards

VIRGINIA - After nearly a year of contentious public debate, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has certified regulations to place stricter standards on abortion clinics.

The certification took place on December 28th following a 60 day public comment period.

The regulations would require all clinics to meet the same standards as new hospitals.

Abortion rights activists says the regulations are too tough and could force many of the 20 clinics in the state to close.

The regulations are now before the State Board of Health, which will have the final vote.

Comments

Oh please! These anti-abortion freaks couldn't care less about clinic standards. They are simply using this as a cover to try to shut down the clinics and force their effing religious garbage down our throats.
