Winter Weather Advisory Expanded; Accumulating Snow Likely Saturday

By: Bryan Tolle, Meteorologist
Updated: January 1, 2013
HAGERSTOWN, MD -  After the snow and ice we had just a few days ago, more accumulating snow is in the forecast starting on Saturday.

The National Weather Service Forecast Offices in Baltimore/Washington, D.C., State College, PA and Pittsburgh PA, have expanded their Winter Weather Advisories now to include the entire WHAG Viewing Area.

Most of the area will see 2 to 4 inches of snow, with a coating to 2 inches of snow in most of Loudoun County, VA, Page, Shenandoah and Warren Counties in Virginia.

3 to 6 inches of snow is possible in our higher elevations zones (Garrett, Western Allegany, Western Grant and Western Mineral Counties) during this period.

Stay with the WHAG Weather team with winter and severe weather hits the area, they'll keep you informed as these events roll though on their social media platforms as well as Your4State.com.
