Woman Dies after being Trapped Underneath Vehicle

MIDDLETOWN, MD - The Frederick County Sheriff's Office in Maryland and Frederick County
Bureau of Investigation say an elderly woman died Monday afternoon after
she was pinned underneath her car.
They say it happened around 2:19 p.m. in the 8300 block of Hollow Road.
Police say the victim, Lucy Smith, 78, was outside of her car when it rolled backwards in her driveway and trapped her underneath. They say a family member found Mrs. Smith and called 911 for help.
Police say she was later pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say the incident is not suspicious in nature and is not weather related.
The investigation is ongoing.
