Winchester Teen Killed In Crash On I-81

FREDERICK COUNTY, VA - A Winchester teen is dead following a crash on Interstate 81.
It happened just before 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday on the southbound side close to Reliance Road near Middletown.
Police say Curtis Ross, 17, lost control, drove off the road and his car struck a guardrail.
He then went back on the road and hit the guardrail on the opposite side.
Ross died at the scene.
Police say speed was a factor and that Ross was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash is still under investigation.
