Washington County Sheriff's Deputies say it happened around 8 a.m. on Eastern Boulevard in Hagerstown. They say 40 students were on board heading to Pangborn Elementary School when a woman re-ended the bus. Luckily, no one was hurt.
"Children are resilient when it comes to dealing with situations like this," says Carly Hose, public information officer at the Washington County Sheriff's Office. "Of course it can be scary to them, but from all accounts everybody was okay and calm. They were ready to get to school and get on with their school day."
The driver of the vehicle, Martha Ann Mckee of Hagerstown, was cited for failure to control speed and avoid collision. Police say Mckee was also driving with a suspended license.
