Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Young Professionals group put together a "mob" scene to help revitalize downtown and show support for local businesses and restaurants.

28 South, a new restaurant downtown was featured as part of Wednesday night's premiere event.

The overall goal was to have enough support from visitors, that crowds would then spill over to other surrounding restaurants.

Gift certificates to Hagerstown's finest cuisine was given away throughout the evening.

28 South also offered 5% off of drinks, or a free appetizer for those who purchased two entrees.

"The whole concept is trying to show the people that Hagerstown is a safe and great place to eat and have fun any day of the week," says President of Hagerstown Young Professionals, Cort Meinelschmidt.

The group says you can expect a lot more of these "mobs" in the near future. The next one is already scheduled for January at the Broad Axe Tavern.
