By: Ciara Brown
Updated: November 1, 2012
HARPERS FERRY, WV - Jefferson County 911 dispatchers say Route 9 is back open after a cement truck rolled over.

The truck was hauling powdered cement, but none of it spilled. Crews were able to stop the diesel fuel from leaking into a nearby stream.

Emergency response personnel from Blue Ridge Fire Co. , Citizens Fire Co. , Jefferson County ESA and Independent Fire Co. responded along with Hazmat units from Mount Weather in Clarke County and Berkeley County.

Incident Commander Captain Fritsch said the road was shut down from Ray Ridge Lane to Family Circle Drive. The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. for cleanup and reopened at 2 p.m.

No one was injured.
