BERKELEY COUNTY, WV- Red Cross officials say they've deployed more than 13,000 disaster workers to the region from all over the country to help those who will be affected by the storm.

10,000 ready-to-eat meals have been distributed to shelters in Jefferson and Berkeley Counties.

Officials say it's important to have one gallon of water per person per day in the case of a power outage.

Emergency officials are hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

"What we have within Berkeley County right now is a large replacement for our transmitter that's up on North Mountain, so that if necessary they can place that on there  in place of the transmitter site if it would go down," says Stephen Allen, director of Emergency Management in Berkeley County.
