HAGERSTOWN, MD - Folks from all across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast are preparing for the effects of Hurricane Sandy, and Pennsylvania is joining the list of states with Emergency Declarations.

Earlier on Friday, the Governors of Maryland and Virginia signed State of Emergency Declarations for their respective states, and Governor Tom Corbett has also signed a State of Emergency Declaration for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

State of Emergency Declarations pave the way for faster emergency response needs in those states, for such things as power restoration, flooding assistance and other things.
