Crowd Wanting To Do Business With Government

By: Patricia Martellotti
Updated: October 26, 2012
FREDERICK, MD - More than 1,000 people attended a special expo in Frederick Friday. It was the 11th Smart Procurement Conference and Expo hosted by Congressman, Roscoe Bartlett.

"They're anxious to have participation of small businesses. Small businesses are looking forward to opportunities of networking with them. So we're pleased and honored to have big support for this event," says Congressman Roscoe Bartlett.

"It's going well I made a ton of new contacts. I've reconnected with old contacts. Found them here so we can reconnect for new opportunities," says attendee Colette Releford.

Bartlett says small businesses are the source of innovation and new job creation needed to revitalize our economy.

This mega business event included training, networking and access to key decision makers to prepare small businesses for federal government contracts.

"It's an opportunity to showcase our services to government contracts, government agencies and people that we would not have been able to see. It helps us expand our line into other areas and enables our business to grow," says Steve Chafitz of E-End.
