GREAT CACAPON, WV -  The Great Cacapon post office will be cutting hours and services, but not if residents can help it.

Residents say their post office makes a profit, unlike others in the country.  They see it as a crucial part of the community.

"You don't cut off your right hand to save your left hand," says resident Ken DeBlasio.

"It's going to be a horrible burden on our community," says Rick Dunn of the Great Cacapon Post Office.

This post office serves as a place for a local book swap program with the Morgan County Public Library.

It's also a spot where people buy convenience food and donate cloths.

Supporters gathered for a town hall meeting Wednesday evening.  County Commissioner Brenda Hutchinson says another meeting has been scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st at the old elementary school in Great Cacapon.
