53-year-old, James Whittlesey, was sentenced to six life terms.
The sentencing comes after Whittlesey's many guilty pleas. He admitted to robbing five banks in Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware during a three month crime spree. He also pleaded guilty to gun charges for trying to shoot Winchester police.
Whittlesey originally pled not guilty to the robbery, but after months on the run and being profiled on America's Most Wanted, that plea changed.
