FREDERICK, MD - Voters in Maryland have one week to register to vote in the November election.
The deadline is next Tuesday, October 16th, at 9 p.m.
"All MVA offices have voter registration forms because they're under the motor voter law. You can go to community colleges. You can go to public libraries, most post offices, and a lot of colleges and universities all have voter registration forms," said Stuart Harvey, director of the Frederick County Board of Elections.
If you're registering to vote for the first time, you'll need a Maryland driver's license or an ID from the MVA. You'll have to provide the last four digits of your social security number if you don't have those.
"If you need a form, and you don't have access or don't have transportation to get to any particular locations, you can call our office, and we will mail you a voter registration form, and then you can mail it back to us," Harvey said.
Those with the board of elections say one of the easiest ways to register to vote is online.
"If you need to register to vote online, you can go to the state board of elections website, and it shows you and steps you through the voting process," Harvey said. "There's an online form that you actually fill out, and then it's sent electronically to the local board of elections."
