FREDERICK COUNTY, MD - A scare for a few banks this afternoon in Walkersville, after a man presented a note to a teller saying he had a bomb.

Police say this man (pictured above) made away with an undisclosed amount on money from Frederick County Bank.

He's described as a white man in his mid-20's, 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 9 inches tall with a thin build and dark complexion.  The suspect was wearing a gray-tan ball cap with black rimmed sunglasses on it's bill, and a long sleeved "Ravens" T-shirt, dark colored trousers and white sneakers.

The incident caused officials to close Frederick Street and set up a perimeter. School buses took alternate routes home and two neighboring banks were ordered to close and evacuate.  A bomb detection dog was brought in to search all three banks, but no bomb was found.

Police say the suspect got away in a green/blue 2011 Toyota Yaris, with Maryland License Plate 1AH2856.

Anyone with information on this robbery should contact the Maryland State Police in Frederick immediately.
