HAGERSTOWN, MD - A new restaurant in downtown Hagerstown just opened its doors to a lively crowd, with pizza and different hors d'oeuvres' aromas.
It's called 28 South and that's exactly where it's located: at 28 South Potomac Street. Owner and chef, Jay Zuspan, has been cooking for locals for years at nearby restaurants. Zuspan says it's been a dream to open his own restaurant.
Inside was bustling with crowds including Hagerstown City Mayor, Bob Bruchey, and city council members.
"I think everybody who opens up a restaurant wants to be the place to go from anywhere. Realistically we just want to be here, support downtown, and give another draw for downtown Hagerstown," says Jay Zuspan.

It'll close inside of 2 years. Sorry. It's just the hard truth. Downtown cannot support this kind of venture. It's a real shame.
