HAGERSTOWN, MD-Many experts say perfecting the English language starts with the dictionary.

Washington County community members understand learning and mastering words has to start at an early age.  Today, Washington County Rotary Club members gave dictionaries to the 3rd grade students at the Emma K. Doub Elementary School.  It's a way to help students learn the English language, and evolve into better communicators.  School officials hope the 3rd graders will take advantage.

"This makes our kids just more successful having these resources, to look up words expand their vocabulary and do really the right thing has been an important things for us," says Clayton Wilcox, Superintendent of Washington County Public Schools.

The rotary clubs will distribute more than 2000 dictionaries to the all 3rd graders in Washington County.
