High School Evacuated, Searched

CUMBERLAND - The following is a release from the Board of Education of Allegany County.
"On Thursday, September 20, 2012, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a threatening message was discovered in a bathroom at Fort Hill High School. The discovery of the message led to an immediate evacuation of students and staff to Greenway Avenue Stadium. Law enforcement officials as well as bomb-detecting K-9s searched the building and the school was cleared of any danger. Students were provided the opportunity to go to Washington Middle School to eat lunch during the evacuation. Students will dismiss from the stadium today, and school will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow. The investigation into this incident is ongoing."
