Frederick City Police:
INCIDENT/ INFORMATION: On 01-03-12 at approximately 1049 hrs. Officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to a burglary in progress call in the 2200 blk. of Wetherburne Way. While enroute the officers were advised by dispatchers that the juvenile female resident was on the phone stating the suspect was still in the residence. The suspect was said to be a former boyfriend of the victim and was heard yelling in the background by the dispatchers. Upon arrival OFC. Kacie Keesecker found the rear sliding door to the residence open. Shortly after a male subject started to exit the residence through that door and was ordered to the ground by OFC. Keesecker. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The female resident was assaulted by the suspect and some of her property was missing. He was identified as a former boyfriend of the victim, who was not allowed to be on the property. The victim was not injured during the assault and required no medical attention. It appears the suspect entered the residence through the sliding door and accosted the victim in her bedroom while she slept. The suspect (Rojas) was transported to Central Booking for processing and an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. He was remanded under a $5000.00 bond.

INCIDENT/ INFORMATION: On 01-03-12 at approximately 0900 hrs. Officers of the Frederick Police Dept. responded to a reported burglary at Fellini's Italian Restaurant located at 177A Thomas Johnson Drive. The incident was reported by a neighboring business employee who noticed the front door glass to the restaurant was shattered. Officers found that the business had been forcibly entered and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency had been stolen. The crime appears to have occurred during the previous night. The crime scene was processed by the FPD Crime Scene Unit and evidence was collected at the scene. The follow up investigation is being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division. INCIDENT/ INFORMATION: On 01-03-12 at approximately 0720 hrs. Officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to a burglary complaint at the Southern States Store, 518 W. South St. Upon arrival it was discovered the business had been forcibly entered through a secondary door. The incident was discovered by employees arriving for work. Investigation of the incident was conducted by Patrol, CID, and Crime Scene units of the department. Various items were found to be missing from the business, the investigation is currently continuing by Detectives.
