On 12/15/2011 at approximately 2238 hours, Troopers of the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack were dispatched to a personal injury motor vehicle accident at east bound I-68 at Johnson Street, Cumberland, MD. Investigation revealed that the accident occurred when a 1994 Nissan Altima passenger car driven by Alonzo Singleton (20 years old of Cumberland, MD), lost control of his vehicle. Singleton's vehicle traveled off the roadway and onto the concrete median for the Johnson Street exit. Singleton's vehicle then struck a Cumberland City Police car, operated by Pfc. Dan Seaman. Pfc. Seaman was working traffic enforcement at this time. The impact of Singleton's vehicle was to the driver's side of Pfc. Seaman's vehicle. As a result of the accident, Pfc. Seaman and Singleton were transported to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for non-life threading injuries. Singleton was later released with minor injuries. He was subsequently arrested and charged for driving under the influence of drugs. He was taken before the Allegany County District Court Commissioner's office for a bond hearing.

INCIDENT/ INFORMATION: On 12/15/2011 at approximately 1935 hours Frederick Police Department responded to 100 blk. Key Parkway for a suspicious person attempting to gain entry into a residence. Officer Dodson was the first to arrive on scene and took up a point of observation. Officer Dodson observed a B/M open the back door and flee on foot, jumping a fence into a neighbor's yard. The suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.
