December 9, 2011_________ Assault Arrest______________________
On December 8, 2011 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 302 Decatur Street for a fight between two males. When officers arrived at the location they located the victim and the suspect, Roger Lynn Davis standing in the middle of Decatur Street. Officers arriving on the scene observed the victim attempting to protect himself from Davis who was holding a yellow aluminum baseball bat. Once Davis observed the officers, he started to walk away from the victim and eventually sat down in the street. During an investigation into the matter, officers learned from Davis that he hit the victim with the bat over items being stolen from his house. Davis was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. The victim was treated at the scene by the Cumberland City Fire Department, and later taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The victim sustained non life threatening injuries to his arm and head.
As a result of the arrest, Roger Lynn Davis was charged with, assault 1st, assault 2nd and disorderly conduct. Davis was later taken before the District Court Commissioner and held on $10,000.00 bond.

CDS Arrest
On December 8, 2011 an officer from the Cumberland City Police Department was monitoring traffic on Interstate 68 when he observed a vehicle exceeding the speed limit. Based on the violation, the officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the operator, David Louis Deshayes. At the time of the stop Deshayes was found to be operating the vehicle without a valid driver's license. During the course of the stop, the officer observed behavior that indicated the probability that the driver may be concealing contraband. When the officer confronted Deshayes about his behavior, he openly admitted to the officer that there was a baggie of marijuana and a glass smoking device inside the vehicle. During a probable cause search of the vehicle the officer located a clear plastic baggie of marijuana and a glass smoking device. Deshayes was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.
As a result of the arrest, Davis Louis Deshayes was charged with, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deshayes was later taken before the District Court Commissioner and later released on his own recognizance.

Frederick Police:
INCIDENT/ INFORMATION: On tonight's date, 12-08-11, at approximately 1927 hours, members of the Frederick Police Department's Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division responded to the Travel Lodge located at 20 Monocacy Blvd for a report of an Armed Robbery. Upon arrival, officers discovered that two males renting a room were robbed inside their room by three males. The males were described as follows:
1) W/M grey hooded sweatshirt, black mask
2) W/M black sweatshirt, black mask
3) White or mixed race male, black sweatshirt.
The victims allege that the three male suspects knocked on the door and when one of the victims opened it, the three suspects charged into the room, displayed weapons, and demanded money and some other items. The suspects were in and out of the room within minutes. They fled the Travel Lodge in an unknown direction. It is unknown at this time if they fled in a vehicle or on foot. The Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating the robbery at the time of this release.
