Cumberland Police Department:

On December 4, 2011 at approximately 2:00 AM the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 500 block of Henderson Avenue for the report of a disturbance.  The conflict was regarding a resident playing music too loud and disturbing his roommate.  Officers spoke with the resident who was playing the music and he refused to turn down the music after several requests by officers to do so.  The subject then pushed the officer in the chest at the scene.  Charles Harrison Tasker, age 34 of Cumberland, was taken into custody after a brief struggle.  Tasker was transported to Cumberland Police Department and charged with Failure to Obey a Lawful Order, Resisting Arrest, and Assault 2nd degree.  Tasker was taken to Allegany County District Court for an initial appearance and was released on personal recognizance.
On December 5, 2011 at approximately 3:00 AM the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 300 block of Furnace Street for the report of a disturbance in the street.  Officers arrived on scene and found a male subject arguing with a taxi cab driver.  There was a dispute concerning a female that wanted to leave in the taxi cab and another male subject.  Officers separated the parties involved but one subject failed to regard the officer's direction.  Raymond Desales Washington II, age 51of Cumberland, was arrested at the scene.  Washington resisted arrest and was then found to be in possession of CDS prescription medication.  He was charged with Failure to Obey a Lawful Order, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of CDS not marihuana.  Washington is currently awaiting an initial appearance at Allegany County District Court.
Frederick Police Department:
On Monday December 5, 2011 at approximately 0651 hours OFC Auge of the Frederick Police Department was en route to work in his marked police vehicle when he observed a vehicle being operated without any visible tags in the area of West 2nd Street and Fairview Avenue.  As a result OFC Auge activated his emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop.  OFC Auge identified the driver as Bedel, David Kuon.  OFC Auge recognized that the truck beared markings from the Frederick Motor Company, located on Waverly Drive.  OFC Auge made contact with representatives from Frederick Motor Company who advised that Bedel was not an employee and had stolen the truck from the lot.  Bedel was taken into custody with incident and was transported to central booking where he was awaiting a hearing before a District Court Commssioner.
