On 11/18/11, The Allegany County Sheriffs Office responded to an alarm call at the Tri Town Pharmacy located on Main Street Westernport, Md. A check of the building revealed that a side window at the drive thru had been busted out. Observed through the window were bottles of pills on the floor with blood present. Blood was also noticed on some of the glass. An inventory of the Pharmacy revealed a large amount of Narcotics were stolen as well as cash. The Narcotics have a street value of approximately $25,000. After an extensive investigation of the crime and response from citizens in the Westernport area, a suspect was developed. With the assistance of Mineral County County Sheriffs Office a search warrant was executed at the suspects residence on W. Hampshire Street Piedmont West Virginia. Evidence of the crime was recovered from the suspects residence as well as a large amount of Narcotics and a quantity of cash. On 11/20/11 Richard Taylor Saville Age 28 W Harrison St Piedmont Wv was taken into custody by the Mineral County Sheriffs Office the following charges: Burglary 2nd degree, Burglary 4th degree, Theft over $1000, 2 counts of Poss w/int to distribute narcotics, 2 counts of CDS possession not marijuana, Destruction of property over $500. The suspect was held without bail pending extradition back into Maryland. Additional arrest are pending. The Allegany County Sheriffs office was assisted by the Mineral County Sheriffs Office, C3I, NRP and the MSP Crime Lab.
