Frederick County, MD Sheriff:
On 11/07/2011 at approximately 8:55 a.m. Dep. Matthew Sinkiewicz arrested Melissa L. Poole, age 29 of Union Bridge, MD.  Poole was charged with possession of paraphernalia and possession of oxycodone.
Dep. Sinkiewicz initiated a traffic stop on Rt. 194 near Adventure Ave. for suspended registration.  During a consent search of the vehicle, paraphernalia was located.  Further investigation revealed the driver, Poole, was also in possession of paraphernalia to include numerous hypodermic needles and spoons with suspected oxycodone residue on them.
The contraband was seized as evidence and placed on property with the Sheriff's Office.  Poole was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center's Central Booking Unit for processing.
Cumberland Police Department:
On November 7, 2011, at 10:04 pm, Cumberland City Police officers responded to a commercial business on Maryland Avenue for a reported Breaking and Entering.  Upon arrival officers observed a shattered window to the business.  Marcus Conaway age 28 of Cumberland was found by the broken window.  He was placed in custody and charged with Destruction of Property and 4th Degree Burglary.  Mr. Conaway was processed and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner for a bond review where he was released on his personal recognizance.
On November 7, 2011, at 12:56 am, a Cumberland Police Department officer observed a speeding violation on Interstate 68 west bound and stopped the vehicle near the Maryland Avenue exit.  Upon further investigation, a K9 scan was conducted and a quantity of Marihuana was found in the vehicle.  Garrett Scott Snyder, age 19 of Churchton Maryland was arrested and charged with Possession of Marihuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Mr. Snyder was processed and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner where he was released on his personal recognizance.
