Election Day in Virginia and Pennsylvania

VIRGINIA, PENNSYLVANIA - Election officials around the country have been preparing for Tuesday's general election for months.

In Warren County, VA, officials revealed new equipment for the election. The county bought red wagons for booth workers.

Officials say the red wagons make transporting items necessary for the elections, easier.

"They have three briefcases full of computers which are the electronic poll books, then just a ton of paper stuff and extension chords and chords to plug all the stuff together," said Warren County Electoral Board Member, Lee Bowan.

Officials believe there are some elements that will affect how many people show up to vote.

There is a new 18th district on the ballot and a few candidates running unopposed. Because of these elements, some voters are concerned people will not show up to the polls.

Anthony Sutton is a transplant from Philadelphia who now lives in Front Royal. Back home he used to work the polls and fears that with a newly drawn 18th district and many candidates running unopposed, some will not bother to vote at all.

"We should vote for the person we think is right, but we don't because we don't know who's who and what's what," said Sutton.

One contest in Warren County that is expected to bring voters to the polls is between incumbent Warren County sheriff, Danny McEathron and challenger, Front Royal police sergeant, Robbie Seal.

Polls open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Virginia.

Tuesday is also election day in Pennsylvania. The municipal elections will be held in Franklin and Fulton counties.

Polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Pennsylvania.
