Students and staff at Washington Middle in Allegany County raised close to $1,000 for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Student Council officers helped raise the money by selling pink ribbons and organizing donation wars between classrooms. They also held a 5K breast cancer walk.
