WHAG's Mary King Wins Murrow Award

WHAG - WHAG Morning News Anchor Mary King was presented with the prestigious 2010 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award in the category for Video Sports Reporting. Mary's story on an eight-year-old boxer who trains at the Frederick Fight Club was picked for the top spot.
WHAG News director, Mark Kraham, presented the award to Mary. Kraham is the chairman for The Radio Television Digital News Association which honors 'outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971,' according to the website. The Murrow Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Edward R. Murrow made a standard for the broadcast news profession.
