Home Prices Plummet in Western Maryland

WESTERN MARYLAND - The latest statistics on home prices don't look good for sellers in western Maryland.
According to data from the National Association of Realtors, the Hagerstown/Martinsburg region and Cumberland area both saw double-digit decreases in a home's median sale price for the first three months of this year, compared to 2009.
Prices fell so far in Cumberland, the area is now ranked third in the country for highest decreases in median sale price. The Hagerstown/Martinsburg region is ranked sixth with a 13-percent decrease in a home's sale price.
Orlando, Fla. had the biggest drop in sale prices for U.S. metropolitan areas.
