Samantha Schauel - Walkersville High School

femalestudentathlete2007-04-06-1175870101.jpgOur female student athlete of the month is Walkersville basketball star Samantha Schauel. The 6’4” senior forward led her team this season to the Maryland 2A State Semifinals.

Samantha averaged a double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 points. Off the court, Samantha is class president and holds a 4.5 G.P.A. Samantha is a member of the National Honor Society and is an Honorable Mention National Merit Scholar.

Samantha has earned a Division I Scholarship to play basketball at Monmouth University. Congratulations, Samantha, on a job well done, and best of luck in the future from NBC25.
