FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA - Officials in Franklin County are asking for your help with cracking down on crime, and now, assisting them could be easier than ever.
"Franklin County Crime Solvers" has a new web site, allowing members of the community to provide anonymous tips online.
The information will then be used by police agencies in the area to help track down criminals or answer questions about recent incidents.
People can also make donations to the non-profit organization using credit cards or Pay Pal.
Officials believe the online option is more user friendly.
"They are very reluctant to pick up the phone and make a phone call," says Darv Stutz, Chairman of "Franklin County Crime Solvers." "Therefore, if they go online and they can provide that information to us, we can facilitate them working with local and state police departments."
Officials say "Franklin County Crime Solvers" was created by a group of concerned citizens in 1982.
