A South Carolina police officer barely escaped death and even serious
injury after being run over by a suspected car thief.
It happened as
police in Charleston chased the suspect on foot after a high-speed car chase.
The dashcam video shows the teenage driver ramming between two police
cars and then driving over one of the officers.
Surprisingly, the
officer suffered only minor injuries and was able to walk away from the
incident.
The suspect was was shot by police several times was charged
with assault and battery with the intent to kill.
