Bill Would Allow Students to Go Virtual

watch video
ANNAPOLIS, MD - Students in Maryland may soon be able to receive an education without ever stepping foot in a classroom.

On Tuesday, the House of Delegates passed a resolution that would give parents the option to choose virtual schooling.

Some private schools in Maryland offer cyber-schooling and a few public schools offer some courses online.   However, this program would let a student get a completely virtual education.

The bill now goes to the Maryland State Senate for a vote.
