Chambersburg School Teacher Arrested For Sexual Exploitation of Minor

FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA- The U.S. States Attorney's Office for the middle district of Pennsylvania announced on Thursday a Chambersburg area school district teacher has been arrested on charges for alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.
Officials say Jeffrey Schmutzler, of Fayettesville, Pa., is charged with distribution and receipt of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
Court officials say a Criminal Complaint was filed in federal court on Thursday.
Chambersburg school officials were notified of the arrest.
Schmutzler is scheduled to appear in federal court before Chief Magistrate Judge Martin Carlson at 4 p.m.
The case is currently being investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations and the Pennsylvania State Police.
