KNOXVILLE, MD - Emergency dispatchers say a man died after a tire blew up in his face at an automobile repair shop.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Brunswick Auto Repair.

Police say 39-year-old Brian Alan Snoots, of Knoxville, Md., was filling an industrial tractor trailer tire with air when the tire exploded and struck him.

Snoots was pronounced dead at the scene.

Members from the Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Department and a Forensics Investigator from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner arrived to conduct additional investigations.

Maryland State Police say the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed in this case.
