Woman Victim of Gasoline Theft in Mercersburg

MERCERSBURG, PA- The Mercersburg Police Department is investigating after someone stole gasoline from a woman's vehicle in January. 

It happened at the victim's home on Brindle Drive in Mercersburg Borough, Franklin County, Pa. 

Police say the victim, 67-year-old Zelda Wible, claims she filled up the fuel tank on her 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier on January 9th. 

Wible told police when she went to drive her vehicle again on January 13th she noticed her fuel gauge was showing the tank was only half-full. 

Wible estimated to the police about ten gallons of fuel was stolen from her vehicle. Estimated value of the fuel is set at $37.00.

i have a cavalier and they only have 14 gallon tanks hows a half a tank ten gallons thats what 37.00 dollars equal
